It was a joke guys, today will be the last blog of the year hahaha i'm a little sad beacuse of that, it's almost Christmas and I don't feel it like that, maybe because all the things that I have to do. And that is part of the today's topic: Some changes that could be made to our studying program in the university.

First of all, I'm studying with the new program of Journalism. This program was started in 2016, and the plan modernized the way that the ICEI teach and the topics that they teach. I think that this was something necessary, because the world goes too fast, and the ways that Journalism works changes as fast as the world.

The "main subjects" are pretty much the same as the old program, but there is some changes in the specialization of each one of the students. However, there is some problems about the workload because it's a little unbalanced in the 4th semester if we compare it with the 3rd semester and the 5th. Our generation and the bigger generation (second and third year of Journalism) agree in this point. The 3rd and the 5th semester are too many relaxed about our time, I mind, we have a lot of time to do our university stuff with no problem. But in 4th semester it's impossible to reach the clock. Imposible. You will be always against the clock, no matter if you are fully dedicated to studies (like my case in this 3 weeks). Imagine if you respect your our times, if you wanna pass a evening with your friends, etc. Almost all agree that it should be a better distribution of the subjects, maybe change some classes from 3rd semester to 4th or something like that, because 4th was (is) really hard about the time.

Wow, that was a big statement hahaha. Like always there is a money problem with the infrastructure and with the equipment, but that is something that its not in our hands.

Farewell fellows! See you next time! <3

Hi everyone! It is time for the last blog session :( sad reacts only. And this one it's gonna be about my english  lenguaje challenges during this period. Let's get into that:

My experiences learning english at the university as been great to be honest. I only took english 3 and 4, but I truly refresh and improve my english, specially my writing abilities and my speaking abilities, and that last point was my biggest concern. I always thought that my speaking abilities was the worst part of my english, but mostly because I never can practice, so I think that be able to speak a lot in this course was great.

When I was in English 3, I thought that blog's doesn't worked to anything hahaha but now I can see that is a funny and a effective way to improve our writing abilities. And that is something very useful if we need to use our english abilities for work, writing a email or something like that.

I need to improve my speaking abilities and my improvisation skills to talk  to make my conversation more fluid hahaha and maybe I will start to talking in english with my friends to get a better improvisation hahaha

I use a lot of english. In fact, almost all of the YouTube videos that I like to watch are in english hahaha And I can understand those videos with no problem at all. I can watch movies with no problem too, but my pronunciation are one of my worst english problems.

So, that's it guys! I hope that you enjoyed this blogs sessions, and see you next time!

Hi! I hope that you are doing well! We are on the last half of the semester so we can't stop our good mood. Let's start with the eighth blog session.

Today topic it's gonna be my plans or ideas for summer holidays. What a wonderful thing are summer holidays don't you think? Even if you just stay in the house <3 Just one more month folks :)

So, my plans. I would like to visit the Patagonia or Rapa Nui. In fact, I hope that really happen hahaha I'm saving money right now for that, but I don't have any plan yet, just my hopes.

I would like to go to Torres del Paine and cross all the Carretera Austral if I go there. If I go to Rapa Nui, I would love to stay there hahaha. Like I say, I don't have a plan yet, so probably I will visit the most iconic places, but I prefer to explore by walking or in bicycle.

I will go (if everything goes good) with my girlfriend Pame :O It will be our first travel exclusive as a couple, because we met us in a company of dancing and music, so we travel before for a long time but just like friends and for work.

We would walk a lot hahaha we love walking, so probably we will get really tired, but it worth it. And definitely we will spend a lot of money in food hahaha it's our debility.

I hope to see you next weekend! Bye!

Hello there! I'ts been a long week this one, I'm a little tired in fact hahaha but here we are, in the seventh blog session and the last half of the year. So, with no further do to say, let's get in our topic.
Today I will talk about something that I can't take out of my head, in fact, the last two weeks I been thinking about this: Podcast.

A Podcast it is something like a radio show, but no necessarily with a regular time of publish, and you can talk about whatever you want. It is the freer thing that I ever heard since I join to the journalism career, and I love it.

Seriously, I'm thinking in make one someday, maybe start with the money collection this summer, because assemble a little and economic home studio it's not sooooo much expensive, with $90.000-$100.000 pesos you can start a program with a free editorial, because you are your own boss.

I started listening podcasts in Spotify, Filosos and Mozart, Beethoven y más was the first ones that I listen, and now i'm hearing Filmcast, a Chilean podcast about pop cinema and series. In this podcast, the four panelist talk about different thing like comics, movies and series, but they are all professionals of the subject, in fact, one of them is the editor of Mouse, a pop section from La Tercera. As you can see, you can talk about anything you want, and that why Podcast it is so much fun and interesting to ear, because you will always find what match for you.

Hello guys! It's time to another blog, the sixth one. And today's topic it is gonna be "post graduate studies". I think that this is a hard topic hahaha because I really don't know what I wanna do in my life. I think that i would love to have a post grade, specially if I figure out what I want to do in the next years of my career, so, let's do this exercise with my current preferences, but I know that this will change in the future hahaha.

I would like to do a post grade because I think that the specialization it's a important thing if you wanna do something really specific, and that is what I wanna do. I don't think that a post grade will help you to find a job faster, I think that it's just luck hahaha.

The subject would be something related to the writing journalism or documental journalism. Maybe some of investigation journalism. but I really don't know yet. Maybe in my fourth year I will know better.

I think that I would love to study outside, but i'm not sure where. Maybe Spain, or England if my english level rises. But if that is not possible, this university would be fine too.

And I would love to dedicate myself completely to the postgraduate course, but this is not possible (thanks, money), it would probably be part time, and with the money from my work I could survive, that's something important

Hi! I hope that you are doing well. So, fifth blog, and today i'm gonna talk about my future job. Hard question hahaha because I really don't know yet what I wanna do in my life. I think that when I join to the career, I wanted to write in cultural magazines like National Geographic or something like that. I still want that, but thanks to audiovisual classes, I believe that maybe I would like that too, but always in a cultural frame. I don't like Tv, but in places like NatGeo, Discovery or that kind of medias, I would love to work. I know that is a little impossible hahaha but there is nothing wrong in dreaming, right?

And that answer to if I would like to work in outdoors environment and travel hahaha, but that's something really secondary to me. If I have to travel, I would do, but if I have to write or edit in a office, I would do very happy if is a cultural thing.

About the salary, I didn't join Journalism thinking in that hahaha as long I could survive and pay a place to live and the food, i would be fine.

I would like to make a major about cultural journalism or anything related to that. If if I decided to go in the audiovisual, I would love to do something to specialize in that area.

Until the next week folks!
